LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — A child has died following a near-drowning incident at an apartment complex in the central valley, according to police.
Officers said they received a call of a possible drowning near Flamingo and University Center on Thursday just before 6:30 p.m.
Once officers arrived they said they found an unresponsive child at the scene.
The child was then taken to a hospital and later died.
There has been no official confirmation from police that the child died from the near drowning incident as the investigation is ongoing at this time.
During the month of June, two separate drowning incidents involving children have been reported.
