LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — A woman was found dead in an apartment during a welfare check in the west Las Vegas valley, according to Metro police.
Around 7:44 p.m. officers received a call from a woman who said she found her daughter dead in her apartment with an apparent stab wound, police said.
The incident occurred in the 7400 block of West Charleston Boulevard near Buffalo Drive.
According to police, the woman’s family was performing a welfare check on her when they found her body.
Arriving officers and medical personnel found a woman in her 30s in the back of the apartment suffering from a stab wound. The woman was pronounced dead at the scene, according to police.
Homicide detectives have taken over the investigation however, there are factors involved in which detectives are not clear that it is a homicide. Therefore, the incident is currently a suspicious death investigation.
