LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — A pedestrian was hit and killed in the central Las Vegas valley Monday, according to Metro police.
Around 7:35 p.m., police responded to the intersection of Burnham Avenue and Flamingo Road after a report of a pedestrian hit.
Police said a driver was traveling east on Flamingo Road and crossed the intersection on a green light when a pedestrian, who is believed to have been outside of a crosswalk, crossed the street.
The driver then hit the pedestrian. Despite life-saving efforts, the pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.
