LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — Las Vegas police say a woman was found shot to death in a Las Vegas Strip hotel early Monday morning. They are investigating the incident as a homicide.
On Jan. 29 at around 2 a.m., officers with the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department responded to a hotel in the 3700 block of South Las Vegas Boulevard to perform a welfare check.
Arriving officers found a woman in a room with an apparent gunshot wound. Medical personnel responded and pronounced her dead at the scene.
A source told 8 News Now that the homicide was at the MGM Grand.
No additional information about the investigation has been released. This incident is being investigated by the LVMPD Homicide Section.
The identity of the victim, as well as her cause and manner of death, will be released by the Clark County Coroner’s Office.
