LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — Estimates released Thursday show that international travel to Las Vegas has rebounded to about 84% of pre-pandemic levels, with Canadian travelers leading the way.

About 1.3 million more international visitors came to Las Vegas in 2023 than in 2022, according to the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority. The total number of international visitors hit 4,740,000, according to LVCVA estimates.

The number of Canadian visitors grew by 60% over 2022 levels, while travel from Mexico increased just under 10%.

Pandemic restrictions continued into 2023 in China, keeping visitor levels well below 2019 — but on the rise. Compared to 2022’s 10,640 travelers from China, 2023 saw 71,640 Chinese visitors — a 573% increase, but still 65% below 2019 levels.
