LAS VEGAS (KLAS) – As preparations begin for Super Bowl LVIII in Las Vegas the Fan Experience area is set to open on Wednesday at the Mandalay Bay.
Channel 8 received a sneak peek just days ahead of the big opening.
There will be plenty of activities for fans to join in on which include the 40-yard dash to the field goal kick, along with the NFL flag clinics, and Play 60 Zones.
Super Bowl merchandise will also be on full display starting Wednesday.
Nicki Ewell, Senior Director of Events for the NFL shared how excited they were to be in Vegas for the first time and why it took so long to host a Super Bowl here.
“We waited for Mr. Davis of course,” Ewell shared. “Allegiant Stadium has to be open for two seasons before and we wanted to get out all the kinks beforehand whether it’s for the Super Bowl Experience or going to the Super Bowl Game.”
The event is open to all ages, and those 12 and under get in free.
Fans can get in on Wednesday for $25 with the price increasing to $50 the rest of the week.
When 8 News Now asked Ewell how the NFL felt about a certain pop star taking center stage, the response was a positive one.
“She’s opened the doors to a totally different group of fans, and we encourage!” Ewell expressed. “We love our Chiefs and the 49ers and welcome Taylor with open arms if she is here on February 11th.”
Fans are encouraged to download the NFL One Pass app for more information regarding next week’s events including the Super Bowl Experience bag policy.
