The six fatal motorcycle crashes all happened in Clark County. The only improvements noted for Clark County were decreases in bicyclist deaths and deaths involving people who weren’t wearing a seat belt. One bicyclist was killed in January 2022, but none died through the end of January this year. There were no deaths involving people who weren’t wearing seat belts in January after four deaths of unrestrained drivers/passengers occurred in January 2022.

The year-to-date State Fatal report indicated the top contributing factors were impairment and speeding.

For all of 2023, 390 traffic fatalities were reported. Of those, 109 were pedestrians.
