Metro police arrest 24-year-old after collision, they say

LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — The Las Vegas Raiders player arrested for allegedly driving drunk is accused of hitting a woman with his car in a resort valet, documents said.

Las Vegas Metro police arrested Janarius Robinson, 24, on a DUI charge early Tuesday morning.

Around 7 a.m., police were called to the Aria Resort & Casino for a report of a woman who was hit by a car and who then “became pinned between two cars,” police said.

The car’s driver, whom police identified as Robinson, smelled of alcohol and appeared intoxicated, officers said, noting “his speech was mumbled and his body was slightly swaying side to side.”

Robinson told police he had two drinks starting at 10 p.m. and was not under the influence of any other substance, officers said.

In documents 8 News Now obtained, the officer noted Robinson told him he stopped drinking at 11 p.m., nearly seven hours before the collision occurred at 5:45 a.m. Robinson also told police he was headed to the Vdara, which is located next to the Aria.

A passenger in Robinson’s car declined to provide a statement to police, they said.

Robinson played in a total of six games as defensive end for the Las Vegas Raiders in 2023. The Florida State alum started three games for the Raiders, with one sack.

A judge released Robinson on his own recognizance due to the misdemeanor charge. He was expected in court for a status check on June 4, records indicated.

The victim’s injuries were not noted in the report as police said she left the valet area before officers arrived.
